Statement of Faith
We are a church committed to the teaching of the Old and New Testaments
The Three-Fold Nature of God
God the Father - Creator, All Powerful, Holy, Merciful, Eternal
God the Son - Jesus Christ, the sinless Lamb of God, died on a cross for the sins of humanity and rose again by God's power three days later
God the Holy Spirit - Comforter, Communicator, inhabiting all Christian believers both as a group and as individuals
Humanity
Sin - "to miss the mark," rebellion against God both intentionally and unintentionally, separating us from God, requiring God's saving action through Jesus
Grace - God's free gift of forgiveness, which we are given a choice to either accept or reject
Redemption - human beings can be restored to a full relationship with God through belief in Jesus, confession of our sin against God, and participating in baptism
The Church
Two Purposes - to glorify God and to tell others of the Good News of Jesus Christ
Community - a place to belong, to make lasting friendships, to receive comfort and support, to grow spiritually |
